Lucknow, 23 September: Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, the Manager of City Montessori School, was honoured today with the prestigious 'UP Ratan Award' for her unparalleled contribution to the field of education. In a grand award ceremony organized by the All India Conference of Intellectuals (AICOI) at the CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I auditorium, Prof. Kingdon was presented with this esteemed honour. The chief guests of the event, Justice Rakesh Sharma, former judge of the Allahabad High Court and Shri Brij Lal, Member of Rajya Sabha and former DGP, presented the citation and memento to honour Prof. Kingdon with the 'UP Ratan Award'. On this occasion, seven other distinguished individuals from the state were also honoured with the 'UP Ratan Award' for their remarkable contributions to social upliftment. The awardees included Mr. Vinay Gandhi, Mrs. Mona Gandhi, Mr. Abbas Mehndi, Mr. Akhil Kumar, Prof. Shamama and Mr. V.K. Saxena. AICOI is a renowned non-governmental organization that has been honouring individuals contributing to social upliftment with the 'UP Ratan Award' for the past 42 years.
In her address at the award ceremony, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon expressed her gratitude and said that City Montessori School has always been at the forefront of fulfilling its social responsibility, and this honor will further strengthen the commitment to the bright future of the younger generation.
