8 CMS ICFF 2016 - A Sustainable Model of Character Building
A Celebration of Life through Cinema is what CMS International Children's Film Festival (CMS-ICFF) is all
about. ICFF 2016 was a joy ride offering the rarest of rare treat of many a visual delight. Stories galore
promising fun n frolic, bearing the burden of a lesson in learning, often but gently woven within.
The festival was marked by the presence of an enigmatic “Abhay Deol” , a charming “Darsheel Safari”, a
suave “Swara Bhaskar”, superboy (Balveer) “Dev Joshi” and young (Samrat Ashok) “Siddhartha Nigam”.
They put the act together with their delightful presence along with many others.

ICFF 16, held from April 7 to April 15th saw the presence of students, teachers and parents of almost every
school in Lucknow with a couple of them thronging the venue from around the city as well. This CMS event
acts on the sensibilities of children and parents together with the society at large in attempting to create a
sustainable model of character building.

The 7 International Children's film festival CMS ICFF 2015 started with a bang with over 1000 movies in its
kitty from over 80 countries. CMS ICFF 2015 was an exercise in character building, an attempt at weaving a
protective sheath… investing appropriately in our strongest commodity, our children.. .. To be a part of this
noble cause guests from the film and television fraternity , foreign delegates and honorable ambassadors
came together on a common platform. The assemblage of these distinguished personalities comprised of,
Honorable Minister for PWD and Irrigation, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shiv Pal Yadav who inaugurated
the festival, His Excellency Mr. Amir Muharemi, Ambassador of Croatia to India, His Excellency Mr. Chung
Kwang Tien, Ambassador of Taiwan to India and his wife Mrs Yihjiun Tien Chen, His Excellency Mr
Southam Sakonhninhom, Ambassador of Lao PDR to India and Honorable Ms Ditza Froim, Minister
Counsellor, Embassy of Israel and Director UNIC India & Bhutan, New Delhi, Ms. Kiran Mehra Kerpelman.
To add to the glamour quotient, renowned film actresses Juhi Chawla, Swara Bhaskar, bollywood actor Jay
Bhanushali, Miss India World Vartika Singh, television actor Dev Joshi 'Balveer', comedian Rjan Srivastava,
budding young actors Darsheel Safari, Avneet Kaur, Japtej Singh of Bhag Milkha Bhag fame, Amey
Pandya, noted film script writer Dilip Shukla, bollywood script writer Atul Tiwari and pop singer Baba
Sehgal were present on the occasion.

Films of all kinds for children, some 305 of them from 38 countries, flooded the 6 CMS ICFF. The festival

was inaugurated by the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh HE Mr BL Joshi. We hail the filmmakers so carefully
crafting and weaving the stories for young minds and their work watched meticulously by our eminent jury
