The first year flagged off to a good start with 250 films coming in from 27 countries. The festival had other
attractions like the Swiss Embassy ‘Quiz & Painting contest” to mark 60 years of Indo-Swiss Friendship and
Chinh India Film Festival & Forum organized an ‘Animation Workshop’.
5 member jury comprising of noted Film Director and Film Critic Ms. Vijaya Mulay, famous Film Director of
‘Maine Gandhi ko nahin mara’ fame Mr. Jhanu Baruah, 3 times Green Oscar winner Mr. Mike Pandey,
eminent movie makers Mr. Nened Duckie from Serbia and veteran Israeli Film Director Mr. Dan Wolman.
Child Protagonist Pinki Sonkar of the Oscar winning documentary “Smile Pinki’ attended the festival along
with Child Actor Purav Rajeev Bhandare and all the prizes were given away by none other than noted film
director Padma Shree Mr. Muzaffar Ali. We are a stand alone school without any government patronage or
external help yet organizing this mega event every year for the past seven years (we started with national film
festival in 2007), purely to promote children’s films produced world over and to provide a huge platform
(1,00,000 children watch movies in the nine days festival) for these movies.
CMS seeks to broaden the vision of children by exploring into their unabashedly innocent world untouched
by the grim and solemn realities of adults through cinema. It is hoped while not overtly educative, young

viewers will learn about the oneness of humanity (Vasudhaiv Kutumbukam) in a subtle and beautiful way.
